Pensacola man accused of firing shots into car at convenience store

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A local man is accused of firing shots into a car at a Pensacola convenience store, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

ECSO deputies on Saturday reportedly responded to Rocky’s Food Mart on West Detroit Boulevard for a shots-fired disturbance.

INCIDENT LOCATION:

“Upon arrival, deputies were told that a gold Ford Taurus had followed a black Honda Civic into the Rocky’s Food Mart parking lot,” an ECSO Facebook post said. “After an exchange of words, the driver of the Honda walked away from the driver of the Ford and into Rocky’s Food Mart.

“At that time, the suspect retrieved a firearm and shot into the unoccupied Honda. He then fled the scene.”

Mobile Catholic priest arrested, archdiocese confirms

Investigators identified 22-year-old Thomas Wiessner as the suspect. He gave authorities a Pensacola address, according to the Escambia County jail log.

“Wiessner was located shortly after and arrested for felony criminal mischief, discharging a firearm in public, and possession of a firearm while committing a felony,” the post said.
