Woman, girl injured in stabbing incident in Ann Arbor

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Police are investigating a domestic incident in Ann Arbor that resulted in two people being stabbed.

According to authorities, the incident happened at a residence on Braeburn Circle, near the intersection of Elseworth and Platt roads on the city’s south side at about 7:30 a.m. Monday, April 15.

Police said a 49-year-old man stabbed his 42-year-old wife and a 15-year-old girl inside the home before running away. Another girl was inside the home at the time, but was unharmed.

The woman and 15-year-old were transported to a hospital to be treated for their injuries. Police said the 42-year-old is in critical condition, but the 15-year-old is expected to be OK.

The 49-year-old man was taken into custody near the scene without incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
