SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Guitar prodigies Joe Satriani and Steve Vai’s Satch Vai U.S. Tour is coming to the Gillioz Theatre.

According to the Gillioz Theatre Facebook page, the Satch Vai U.S. Tour will be hitting the stage on Apr. 26 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased here.

The tour launched on March 22 in Orlando and the duo will hit Atlanta, Boston, New York, DC, Detroit, Minneapolis and more before winding up in Santa Rosa, CA on May 12 with 38 shows in total.

Joe Satriani is a 15-time Grammy Award nominee and has sold over 10 million albums, making him one of the world’s most commercially successful solo guitar performers of all time, according to his website. In his early years, he taught several students who would go on to achieve their own fame such as Kirk Hammett of Metallica, David Bryson of the Counting Crows, Kevin Cadogan from Third Eye Blind, Larry LaLonde of Primus and Steve Vai.

According to Vai’s website, for more than three decades, Steve Vai has sold over 15 million in album sales and has won three Grammy Awards. Vai has toured the world as a solo artist, but has also played with Frank Zappa, David Lee Roth, Alcatrazz and Whitesnake.

Vai was also the guitarist featured in the theme song of the video game “Halo 2.” Some fans might remember his performance in the 1986 film “Crossroads,” where Vai has a “guitar duel” against Ralph Macchio’s character.
