Square Enix has released a new Japan-only trailer for upcoming action RPG Visions of Mana — and it's specifically designed to play on the nostalgia of longtime Mana fans. The video depicts the life of a man who's grown up with the franchise, from grabbing his first Mana title as a kid, to watching the games evolve over the course of entire console generations. Finally, he sees a billboard for Visions of Mana, and the cycle is complete.
Visions of Mana is still set to release this summer on PS5 and PS4, and we would assume that a more specific launch date isn't far off.

OMG take me back! I remember renting Secret of Mana, what a treat. This is a fantastic video.
I love these types of commercials.
The recente one they did for Dragon Ball hit me right in the feels.
Makes me nostalgic for a time when nobody cared about sales numbers or what script a CEO was reading from that week.
I don't follow the franchise, but that ad is universal to all of the games we grew up with.
I’m excited for this one. I hope it’s full of heart. I don’t need a perfect game, just one to get lost in.
@JDCII
As if i were going to buy a game from net ease, ridiculous, never ever again.
You guys ever learn the Secret of Mana? I did. It was made by SquareSOFT, not Squeenix.
I’m VERY excited for this one. Like @JDCII said, I don’t need it to be perfect. I’m 1000% down for a fun nostalgia trip. Mana is comfort food. It reminds me of days when my pals and I would sit around the SNES with our Multitap to play Secret of Mana and we all had our designated characters. Then we saved up our money doing odd jobs to import Seiken Densetsu 3 and pretended we knew what we were doing (we didn’t). Bring on Visions.
Top tier advertising.
Thanks for the nostalgia hit.
I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. The remakes were hit or miss but I do still consider this a very good series.
