1 person dead after vacant house fire in east Baltimore
Baltimore City fire officials are investigating after a fatal vacant house fire.According to fire spokesperson Kevin Cartwright, firefighters responded just before 7 p.m. to a reported house fire at the 500 block of North Clinton Street.Firefighters arrived and found fire and smoke coming a vacant rowhome.While battling the flames, firefighters found a victim unconscious and unresponsive. They were pronounced dead at the scene. Fire officials believe the person died due to injuries suffered in the fire, but the exact cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner.Baltimore City Fire Department and Baltimore City Police Department's arson unit are investigating.
