UPDATE: One person taken to hospital after two car collision on Loch Ness side stretch of the A82 near Drumnadrochit

One person was taken to hospital after two cars collided on the A82 near Drumnadrochit.

The Loch Ness-side stretch of road was closed in both directions for two hours after the incident south of the Loch Ness Clansman Hotel shortly before 7.30 pm on Thursday.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We received a call on Thursday, April 11 at 19:27 to attend a two-car road traffic collision on A82, near Drumnadrochit.

“Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to Raigmore Hospital.”

No update on the patient’s condition has been given.

Police Scotland have been contacted for further details.
