Earlier this afternoon, ScotRail issued a warning to customers of knock-on delays and disruption to services after the medical incident at Kingussie.

But the Scottish Ambulance Service has now confirmed that while emergency services were contacted, no further action was required.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Although we did receive a call, the patient did not require an ambulance to be sent.”

All services to and from Inverness are currently running close to scheduled timings.
