Jagged Edge

Directed by Richard Marquand, from a script by Joe Eszterhas, this glossy, effective psychological thriller centres on Jack Forrester (Jeff Bridges), a personable newspaper publisher who is charged with the vicious murder of his rich wife, using a jagged-edged knife.

Against her better judgment, Teddy Barnes (Glenn Close), the attorney hired to defend Forrester, soon finds herself falling for her dashing client.

The director expertly builds up the tension, and keeps the audience guessing about Forrester's guilt until the last few frames. Peter Coyote, Robert Loggia and Leigh Taylor-Young co-star.
