MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The first outdoor Dane County Farmers’ Market of the season was held Saturday, bringing crowds to Capitol Square for what many consider to be the unofficial start of spring.

Vendors lined the square and visitors stopped by their favorite stands as many people fulfilled a weekly seasonal tradition.

“I just love being at the market,” Snug Haven Farm’s Hannah Hageman said. “I grew up here. Since I was four years old, standing on the table, sampling spinach. I just love the community.”

America’s largest producers-only market runs every Saturday from 6:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. until Nov. 9.
