YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A York man is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a 4-year-old in 2016.
According to the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office, Bryan Cuevas-Rios had a preliminary hearing Tuesday.
He was charged on Jan. 31, 2024 with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child and indecent assault of a person less than 13.
According to the DA, the victim, who is now 12, testified during the preliminary hearing that she used to live with Cuevas-Rio and that he forced her to do "inappropriate things."
A Manheim Township Police Detective estimated that the abuse likely occurred on January 25, 2016.
The detective testified that at the time of the abuse, Cuevas-Rios would have been 17 and the victim 4, according to a press release from the DA.
Cuevas-Rios is set to be arraigned on April 26, and he is currently out on a $50,000 bail.
His case will be prosecuted in Lancaster County.
