Game One: Augustana 8, Sioux Falls 0
The story of the game was Grace Glanzer as she tossed a five-inning perfect game. She struck out three as all 15 batters she faced were set down in order.

While Glanzer was dealing, the bats hit to the tune of 11 hits, plating a run in the first, five in the fourth and two in the fifth.

The opening run of the game came courtesy of Gracey Brink as she singled in Andrea Cain. Cain was on base after a leadoff single.

Innings two and three were quick for both squads while the bats came to life in the fourth. Torri Chute homered to left-center field to make the score 2-0. After Brink worked a walk, Ashton Dorman sent the ball over the outfield fence to make the score 4-0. A third home run of the inning came from the bat of Stella Harber to score Ella Cooper.

With Glanzer continuing to be electric, the Vikings added two more runs in the fifth. Dorman picked up the RBI on a groundout to score Hailey Houston. The final run came from the legs of Brink as she was sent home on a Cooper single to left field.

With the perfect game on the line, Glanzer induced a ground out to herself, a strikeout and caught the final out on a popup.

Of the 11 hits, Cuevas, Brink and Harber each recorded two while Dorman totaled three RBI.

In the sixth inning, Torri Cute belted a home run off the light pole in left field for a three-run home run and boost the score to 11-1. Harber brought in the game’s final run on a sacrifice fly for the 12-1 final score.
