Perrie Edwards has teased the possibility of appearing on Strictly Come Dancing.

The Little Mix star admitted in a new interview that while she would be "really scared" at the prospect, she would be up for taking part in the BBC show.

“I think I’d be really scared," the singer said on tomorrow evening's (April 13) The Jonathan Ross Show, adding that she struggled with dancing in the group's early days.

"In the band at the very beginning, we went to rehearsals and I remember crying my eyes out and I went to my manager ‘I’m going to have to leave the band. I can’t really dance, I don’t want to dance.’

"I was just so terrified and uncomfortable dancing that I just didn’t want to do it – I just wanted to stand and sing.”

Perrie added: “Now, I love it. I absolutely love dancing. I actually would love it [Strictly Come Dancing]."

When asked by the host if she would take part in the show if offered, the star replied: “Yeah.”

Perrie rose to fame as a member of Little Mix, who have been on hiatus since 2022, and has just released her debut solo single 'Forget About Us'.

On the show, the star admitted she is "terrified" about going solo, adding: "It’s so different and it’s not what I’m used to. From being 16 I was in Little Mix so I don’t know any different so it is quite daunting but I’m having such a good time so far."

Perrie welcomed a son called Axel Xander in 2021 alongside fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
