Apple should be embarrassed that you can still buy a MacBook Pro M3 with 8gb of ram, including new from Apple.

I have a June 2010 aluminum body MBP with 8gb that I cannot even upgrade past 10.13 High Sierra.

These M3 MacBook Airs have had a huge number of discounts so soon. A fantastic deal, if you're looking. M2 Air looks even better value.

These laptops in the current economic climate are just not moving.

they sure having a lot of sales lately

This can't be happening without Apple. Probably a way to pretend there aren't any price reductions going on.

Either way if they were moving there wouldn't be any offers.
If these sales are because they're "just not moving" due to the current economic climate, then you'll have to explain to me why there was one sale ('https://www.macrumors.com/2021/01/18/deals-m1-macbook-pro-100-off/') followed by another ('https://www.macrumors.com/2021/02/12/deals-imac-macbook/') and another ('https://www.macrumors.com/2021/02/12/deals-imac-macbook/') and another ('https://www.macrumors.com/2021/03/02/deals-m1-macbook-pro-models/') and another ('https://www.macrumors.com/2021/04/07/deals-m1-macbook-air/') and another ('https://www.macrumors.com/2021/04/16/deals-m1-macbook-air-pro/') and another ('https://www.macrumors.com/2021/04/23/deals-all-time-low-prices-m1-macbook/') and another ('https://www.macrumors.com/2021/07/08/deals-512gb-m1-macbook-air-2/') and another ('https://www.macrumors.com/2021/07/23/deals-low-prices-full-macbook-lineup/') etc. after the introduction of the M1 Macs back in Nov. 2020.

There was literally a sale the day after ('https://www.macrumors.com/2020/11/11/deals-expercom-m1-mac/') the M1 Macs were introduced.

If Mac sales were so strong from late 2020 through 2022, why did we see so many sales during this period? Isn't that counterintuitive?

It's not because of the 8GB RAM you cannot upgrade... It's because of the video capabilities and the lack of a T2 security chip...

The last stand for Best Buy before they shut their doors.

It's no secret they are close to bankruptcy. They were the hot place to go in the early 90's.
