ORANGE COUNTY Va. (7News) — A convicted sex offender who was wanted by Virginia State Police turned himself in on Thursday, officials said.
On March 27, police said Sheldon Locke Davis, 63, was wanted for moving from Rhoadesville in Orange County, Virginia and failing to notify officials.
Under Virginia law, convicted sex offenders are required to register on the Virginia State Sex Offender Registry and renew the registration when needed.
If the person moves within Virginia, they are required to notify officials of their new place of residence within three days.
Davis was charged with failing to re-register as a sex offender four times, police said.
