Teen arrested for allegedly bringing gun, ammo into school on Long Island: police
WEST ISLIP, Long Island (PIX11) — A teenager was arrested for bringing a gun and ammunition into a high school on Long Island on Monday, according to police.
Officials said police got a call after staff at West Islip High School took a gun from a student inside the school. A 17-year-old was arrested on the following charges:
Criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree
Criminal possession of a firearm
Criminal possession of a weapon on school grounds
Additional information was not immediately available.
