Crews battle strip mall fire in Bethany

BETHANY, Okla. (KFOR) — Firefighters responded to a fire at a strip mall near NW 23rd Street and N Rockwell Avenue in Bethany on Monday afternoon.

Video from McIntyre Law Chopper 4 over the scene shows heavy smoke coming from the building as crews work to extinguish the flames.

It’s currently unclear if any people were inside the building at the time of the fire.

All lanes of NW 23rd St. near the scene three blocks east of Rockwell are closed due to water hoses blocking the road. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and take an alternate route as crews continue working at the scene.
