CHAMBERS COUNTY, Texas – Law enforcement say 10 people, believed to be in the country illegally, were found inside a Chambers County home as deputies executed a search warrant Thursday.

The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office said it happened at 5118 Dripping Springs Avenue in the Baytown area.

Deputies came to the home investigating a lead from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force that images or videos of child pornography had been downloaded at the home.

The sheriff’s office said the people inside the home refused to answer the door, so deputies forcefully entered. When they got inside the home, they found 10 people inside.

The sheriff’s office said it is believed the 10 people are in the country illegally. Some of them were of Asian descent while others were reportedly from Guatemala.

Homeland Security responded to the scene to assist with the investigation. The 10 people were taken to the Chambers County Jail to be processed by Homeland Security.

Officials say this is an ongoing investigation that is looking into possible human trafficking as well as other potential crimes.
