A man accused of kidnapping and raping a woman in Excelsior Springs was back in court on Monday. Timothy Haslett Jr. appeared in court for a hearing regarding those charges stemming from an alleged incident in 2022.The woman managed to escape from his house, leading to his arrest.He is currently held on a $3 million bond.Initially facing charges of first-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping, and second-degree assault, the prosecution expanded the charges in March 2023 to include first-degree rape, four counts of first-degree sodomy, one count of kidnapping, two counts of second-degree assault, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.Another hearing is scheduled for him a month from now.He is back in court on May 15.

A man accused of kidnapping and raping a woman in Excelsior Springs was back in court on Monday.
