‘AHS: Delicate’ Welcomes First Freaky Sex Scene of the Season

American Horror Story: Delicate‘s sexless streak has come to an end! This week’s episode welcomed in gruesome opener and the season’s first freaky sex scene.

Now, it wasn’t Adam Levine having kinky sex in an abandoned asylum or Lady Gaga and Matt Bomer engaging in a bloody foursome that leaves two dead. But this week’s sex scene is something and given that there’s only two episodes left in the season, I’ll take it!

Episode 7, “Ave Hestia,” takes place entirely in flashback sequences and detours from Anna Victoria Alcott (Emma Roberts) and her troubling pregnacy.

The episode shifts focus to Anna’s nurse Ivy (Cara Delevingne), revealed to be a member of the Satanic cult stalking Anna.

Towards the end of the episode, Dex walks in on his father (Reed Birney) having passionate sex with a member of the cult who’s dressed in an all-black garb and wearing a feathered headpiece. Meanwhile, Dex’s mother is unconscious in the main room while two other cult members take vials of liquid from her body.

Dex’s father is wearing a studded leather harness and locks eyes with his son. Without putting a stop on the thursting, the father yells, “This is how you were made!”

A group of cult members surround Dex and use a chloroform-like substance to knock him out. “Erase his memory,” the father tells them.

The scene isn’t as explicit as the sex scenes in past installments of the hit anthology series, but it succeeds in spicing up the episode and revealing a few secrets. While it was known that Dex’s father participated in cult activity, it seems he admitted to using the cult to concieve Dex.

However, the lack of consent from Dex’s mother suggests that she isn’t involved. So, maybe Dex’s father was just alluding to conception as a whole?

With the second half of the season dialing up the freakiness and the jump scares, the final two episodes are expected to be eventful. Will we get more sex scenes? Up for debate. But the more important question to ask is: Is that leather harness part of Dex’s father’s regular attire or does he just whip it out to have sex with creepy cult people? Also up for debate.
