Located in Conway, SC, the Coastal Carolina campus is only a few minutes from the Myrtle Beach resort area. An independent public university, the school spreads over 620 acres plus over 1,100 acres of coastal environments for study and research. The school’s teams compete in NCAA Division I athletics, and the campus includes an 18-hole golf course managed by the school’s Professional Golf Management Program. With new special programs like the Educational Specialist in Leadership degree (Ed.S.) for those who want a career as a district-level school leader, the college also offers 67 other areas of study, as well. The school’s first Ph.D program was started in 2014 and it is in marine science. The newly opened Swain Science Center and Chapin Center for Marine and Wetland Studies also provides a unique educational environment for marine science students.
