An arrest warrant affidavit states Rodriguez went to the store in the 2500 block of Blanco Road and waited for about 10-15 minutes before he demanded money from the cashier.

The cashier told police that he showed a handgun and grabbed the money from the register before fleeing, the affidavit states.

The robbery took place about 20 minutes after another aggravated robbery at a nearby Family Dollar. Police said the suspects in both cases had the same description.

Rodriguez was arrested on Monday and also charged with evading arrest or detention and unlicensed possession of a firearm, records show.
