- UFC. Conor McGregor warned not to ignore 'red flags' as UFC comeback nears
The speculation around Conor McGregor and his potential return to the UFC octagon has been rife in recent months, and now there is word from UFC boss himself Dana White.
McGregor has been out of action since he shattered his leg in a fight against Dustin Poirier and some even wondered if he was going to return at all, given he had recovered but still seemed to just be living a party lifestyle.
In a twist, White has now suggested that an announcement for McGregor's return to the octagon is only around the corner.
He has been looking at coming back with a June 29 PPV event against Michael Chandler, and an Instagram story from White drops some hints.
He posted a video of McGregor on his Instagram story, with the caption: "Coming Soon..."
The clip seemed to be of McGregor arriving for one of his UFC 229 press conferences.
McGregor passes another drug test
It is hard to imagine what White could be hinting at here other than a return for McGregor, which is great news for fans of the sport.
Instagram activity from McGregor recently also suggested that he will be fighting soon, as he passed a fifth drug test of the year and posted a story with the caption: "Got tested again yesterday. All good in the hood."
Chandler, during an interview with TMZ Sports, addressed the rumors surrounding the announcement of their fight being made.
During the interview, Chandler stated: "I've got the official announcement... It's happening this summer. I can't tell you the actual date, but it's happening this summer, yes. Me vs. Conor. Obviously, this has been a year in the making. We did The Ultimate Fighter, he's been off obviously doing the Road House movie and all his other aspirations and accolades outside of the cage, so here we are, this summer, I'm ready."
