Stefon Diggs’ trade to Texans sets up 2024 matchup vs. brother, Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs

The Diggs brothers missed out going against one another last season due to Trevon’s torn ACL.

The brother vs. brother matchup is back on the table for the Diggs family.

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs missed out on the chance to face his older brother, All-Pro wide receiver Stefon Diggs, last year when a torn ACL prematurely ended his 2023 season.

However, according to multiple reports, the Buffalo Bills traded Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans on Wednesday, re-opening the door for the brothers to face off when Dallas hosts Houston in 2024.

As part of the deal, the Bills reportedly acquired the Texans’ second-round pick in the 2025 draft, which Houston acquired in a trade with Minnesota. Houston also acquired Buffalo’s sixth-round pick in this year’s draft, and a fifth-rounder in 2025.

The Diggs brothers, both in the NFL since Trevon was drafted by Dallas in 2020, have not crossed paths professionally outside of both being selected to the 2021 Pro Bowl.

While out with his ACL injury, Trevon Diggs made some waves on social media in November wishing his brother would get out of Buffalo, as the offense at the time was struggling to produce before eventually making the playoffs.

The Texans are one of nine home games the Cowboys will play at AT&T Stadium next season, though the official dates and times for each game likely won’t be known until May.
