SHERIDAN — Local outdoor education nonprofit Science Kids plans to offer more opportunities for students this year in an effort to help school-age children expand their love for science.

Science Kids classes typically run from June through August each year and are offered to children ages 6 through 14. Science Kids Executive Director Julie Rieder said one of the organization’s main focuses this summer is to offer more classes for students ages 12 through 14 — as they tend to need connection with nature the most, she said.
