THE BAD GUY, OR WHERE THE ATTACK HAPPENED ON THE CITY’S SOUTH SIDE, POLICE ARE LOOKING INTO WHAT LED UP TO A MAN BEING FATALLY HIT BY A TRAIN. OFFICIALS SAY EMERGENCY CREWS WERE CALLED TO THE TRACKS NEAR SOUTH 12TH STREET AROUND 630 LAST NIGHT. THAT’S WHERE THEY FOUND THAT MAN, IDENTIFIED AS 31 YEAR OLD DERRICK GEORGE OF CLAIRTON, ON THE TRACKS. HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE. WE’RE TOLD CITY POLICE AND CSX POLI

Man killed by train in South Side
City police are investigating the death of a man who apparently was hit by a train early Saturday evening.Units were called to the area beneath the South 12th Street Bridge about 6:20 p.m.Police said the train struck the man and he died at the scene. The Allegheny County medical examiner identified the man as 31-year-old Darrick Rashaun George, of Clairton.The city's Mobile Crime Unit was called to process the scene.Violent Crime Unit detectives and CSX Police will investigate the collision. The investigation is ongoing.

City police are investigating the death of a man who apparently was hit by a train early Saturday evening.
