After six years of deliberations, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan are finally set to proceed with the divorce trial.

To formalize their divorce agreement, the former lovebirds designated each other as witnesses for the forthcoming hearing.

Dewan has indicated that Tatum's testimony is necessary regarding various aspects of their marriage, including business and financial matters.

The actress' list of witnesses includes her estranged husband's business manager, Eric Fulton, and his accountant, Tracy Faryl Katz, among others.

As for Tatum, he has summoned his ex-wife and her fiancé, Steve Kazee, to testify about their cohabitation, shared expenses, and "all related matters."

The ex-couple is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, April 12, for discussions regarding the division of property, especially the "Magic Mike" intellectual property. They will also discuss attorneys' fees and costs, breach of fiduciary duty, reimbursement claims, and support.

Legal documents obtained by Fox News Digital claim that "While this case has been pending for some time, it is Jenna's contention that the cause of the delay is [Channing's] refusal to accept an equal division of the 'Magic Mike' intellectual property."

It also stipulates, "Once trial on that issue has concluded, the remaining issues will be relatively straightforward in comparison."

The drama surrounding the divorce trial began earlier this week after Dewan filed papers asserting that the process could not move forward until the matter of "Magic Mike" gets settled.

In the documents obtained by The Blast, she highlighted that Tatum achieved significant success with "Magic Mike," a project he developed during their marriage.

She also claimed that she and Tatum co-funded the project as she made a financial contribution towards its production.

However, instead of reaping from the financial gains of the 2012 film and its projects, Dewan alleged that Tatum and Fulton hid the value and profits of "Magic Mike" from her.

This action led her to petition the court for equal participation, entitling her to half of Tatum's stake in forthcoming "Magic Mike" projects.

She also asked for a court order that will require her ex to provide her with a comprehensive report of The Tatum Family Trust, one of the supposed places he deposited the film's earnings.

Tatum promptly responded to the filing through his attorneys, stressing the need to schedule a trial to address the longstanding financial aspects of his and Dewan's settlement.

He then detailed that even though Dewan had not requested temporary spousal support, he had wanted indefinite termination of spousal support from the court.

His rationale for this includes Dewan's nearly six-year cohabitation with Kazee, with whom she shares one child and is expecting another.

The 43-year-old specified that, in addition to being employed and able to support herself, his ex-partner would receive half of the community property residuals and royalties.

Tatum noted other issues that should be addressed during the trial, including determining the date of their separation and clarifying the rightful ownership of real property acquired post-separation.

Tatum further clarified in legal documents that despite numerous attempts to reach an out-of-court settlement with Dewan, they have not made progress.

Notably, the couple did not face challenges in other areas of their marriage's collapse as they opted to approach it in stages. First, their "Judgment for Dissolution of Status Only" was officially documented by the Court on November 20, 2019.

Subsequently, on February 11, 2020, they reached a resolution on all custody matters, agreeing to share both legal and physical custody of their daughter, Everly Elizabeths. They currently practice a 50-50 split in the physical custody of the ten-year-old.

Tatum previously reflected on he and Dewan's breakup, acknowledging that they "fought for [the marriage] for a really long time," despite knowing they had lost their connection.

Recall that the "She's the Man" star and the "Tamara" actress first crossed paths on the set of "Step Up" in 2006. They then exchanged vows in 2009, welcomed Everly in 2013, and announced their separation in 2018.

Tatum credited the views they took at their wedding as the reason he and Dewan remained together for that long. He stated:

"I think we told ourselves a story when we were young, and we just kept telling ourselves that story, no matter how blatantly life was telling us that we were so different."
