Former All-Pac-12 linebacker meets with Texans, defending AFC South champions

HOUSTON – LSU linebacker Omar Speights has virtual meetings with the Texans and Las Vegas Raiders, per a league source.

Speights (6-foot-1, 225 pounds) is a former All-Pac-12 selection who transferred from Oregon State.

He had 308 tackles, five sacks and three interceptions at Oregon State.

For LSU last season, he had 70 tackles.

He bench pressed 225 pounds 30 times and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.62 seconds with a 31 1/2 inch vertical leap and a 10-0 broad jump at the Tigers’ campus Pro Day workout.

He worked individually with Saints linebackers coach Mike Hodges at the workout.
