One person dead in Felton crash

FELTON, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Sunday morning.

On April 14th just after 3 A.M., a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound on Paradise Alley Road, approaching a stop sign at the South Dupont Highway intersection. Without stopping, the car continued through the intersection, crossing both the north and southbound lanes of South Dupont Highway. It then veered off the southwest edge of the roadway, striking a stop sign located on the eastbound side of Paradise Road. The car continued westbound through a grassy area before side-swiping a large tree.

The driver, a 20-year-old man from Clayton was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim will be released once his family has been notified.
