Signup begins for the world’s largest trivia contest in Stevens Point

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAW) - An annual trivia contest known worldwide is back this week at UW-Stevens Point.

Registration started at 3 p.m. on Monday for the 90FM Trivia Contest that kicks off on Friday evening. This year’s contest is named Trivia 54: Very Superstitious. Hundreds of teams join in every year on the fun with many doing so from the comfort of their own home.

“We have eight questions read per hour, where teams call in their answers. It’s a whole lot of fun. We have dozens of volunteers working to make the whole thing happen.” 90FM Station Manager Mack McGregor said.

The theme for this year was inspired by today’s solar eclipse. The contest runs for 54 consecutive hours. 90FM has hosted the weekend event since 1969.
