The $2,100 grant will help the naval veterans association with the purchase of fish, and fish food, for the large pond in front of its building. Each year, the pond, which was built in 1957, is stocked with trout for a number of fishing derbies and outings. The association hosts its annual Navy Club Kids Fishing Derby and co-hosts the Kids & Cops Fishing Derby with Woodstock police.  The association also holds an annual fishing trip for veterans from Parkwood Hospital in London.
