Golden Knights fan's premature Stanley Cup champion tattoo featured in new NHL playoff ad

Las Vegas (KSNV) — A new ad campaign for the upcoming Stanley Cup playoffs is highlighting just how far fans can go to support their teams, including the Vegas Golden Knights.

In the thirty-second commercial released Monday, an enthusiastic Vegas Golden Knights fan is seen prematurely getting a Stanley Cup Champion tattoo before the 2019 Playoffs. He confidently states “This is our year," which was not the case.

Two other commercials were released, which centered around a Nashville Predators fan smuggling a dead catfish into the arena before tossing the good luck ritual onto the ice and two lifelong Colorado Avalanche fans who decided to end their 10-year relationship, believing their relationship was bad luck after watching the Avs win the Stanley Cup while apart.

The NHL 2023-24 regular season comes to an end on Thursday, April 18 and the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin on Saturday, April 20.

As of Monday, the Golden Knights are set to face the Central Division champions Dallas Stars during the first round, although final seeding will not be determined until the conclusion of the regular season.

Tickets for the first slate of home games will be going on saleon Tuesday, April 16 at 10 a.m.
