A Chicago rapper indicted earlier this year after he allegedly left a machine gun in a ride share vehicle in New York City back in 2022 pleased not guilty Wednesday.

Isaiah Dukes, 26, of Calumet City, was indicted on Jan. 24 for possession of a machine gun and possession of an unregistered firearm in New York City, according to the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Dukes, known as the rapper “Lil Zay Osama,” allegedly carried a loaded Glock pistol affixed with a switch in New York’s Queens borough on Sept. 29, 2022.

Dukes was arrested in Sept. 2022 after leaving the firearm in a rideshare vehicle that brought him from a luxury hotel in Manhattan to a recording studio in Queens.

On Wednesday in a New York courtroom he pleaded not guilty and was ordered detained pending trial.

He is due in court again on May 21.
