Dodgers’ Bobby Miller Hoping to Start Throwing Again Within a Week

On Saturday, the Dodgers placed starting pitcher Bobby Miller on the 15-day IL with shoulder inflammation. This came as quite a surprise as there was no indication that Miller was hurt at that point.

Miller spoke with Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times on Sunday and provided an update on his shoulder. He says it’s, “nothing too serious,” with the hope of starting to throw again within a week.

This is excellent news coming from the 25-year-old. The longer the Dodgers shut him down, the longer he would need to ramp back up.

So, with this news, he could return in late April or, more likely, sometime in May. Luckily, Los Angeles has the starting depth to hold down the fort while Miller is out but a speedy recovery from the young right-hander would be promising.
