The Pierce County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) is investigating a double shooting that happened early Sunday morning in Parkland.

Officers say around 2:02 a.m. on Sunday, April 14, deputies at the Parkland precinct could hear several gunshots coming from the Lady Luck Bar across the street at 14100 Pacific Avenue South.

Deputies said they saw multiple vehicles and people fleeing from the parking lot. Officers were able to locate two victims who had been struck by the gunfire.

A 37-year-old man had a graze wound and was cleared at the scene by medics. A 30-year-old man had a gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

After watching the surveillance video and speaking to witnesses, deputies believe the incident was related to an argument in the parking lot. One man started firing his gun off and the two victims were unrelated bystanders.

A handgun was found in the parking lot and was believed to have been used in the shooting. The firearm came back stolen from Seattle.

Deputies said there is no suspect in custody, as of Sunday afternoon.

This case is still under investigation. Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call PCSO or make an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
