Sausalito police are investigating an attack that left a man with stab wounds.
The crime was reported at about 9:15 p.m. Saturday at a residence on Cable Roadway, police Lt. Brian Mather said. Police found a 53-year-old man with stab wounds, and Southern Marin paramedics transported him to a hospital.
The alleged attacker fled, and authorities could not find her that night. Police found her outside a residence on Glenn Drive on Sunday afternoon.
“Evidence on the scene indicated the woman had taken her own life,” Mather said.
The Marin County coroner’s office identified the suspect as 22-year-old Emily Fuhrman. Mather described her as a family acquaintance of the victim.
The motive for the crime is under investigation. The victim was in stable condition Sunday, Mather said.
