ESPN, Peyton Manning Reach Contract Extension to Continue 'Monday Night Football' Simulcast

ESPN announced on Wednesday that the network has agreed to a nine-year extension through 2034 with Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions to continue the former NFL quarterback's various shows across platforms.

One of the biggest pieces of the news is that the Manningcast, the NFL's Monday Night Football simulcast hosted by Manning and his brother Eli Manning since 2021, will continue on.

The Manningcast overlapped with 10 Monday night games apiece in 2021 and '22, and 11 in 2023, including a wild-card round playoff matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The brothers bring their on-field insights to the broadcast and interview guests ranging from current and former athletes to celebrities during the game.

The media-rights extension also will continue the Manning brothers' personal shows on ESPN+, Peyton’s Places and Eli’s Places. In his show, Peyton Manning focuses on NFL history and culture, while the younger Eli focuses on these topics in college football.
