Lubbock Matadors set for round three matchup against New Mexico United in U.S. Open Cup

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Lubbock Matadors hosted a watch party on Thursday and found out who their next opponent would be in the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, which ended up being New Mexico United.
The Matadors advanced in the tournament following a 2-0 win over Foro SC on Tuesday evening. New Mexico United is a member of the United Soccer League and will host the Matadors in the upcoming matchup.
Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. CT on Tuesday, April 16 at the Rio Rancho High School Stadium.
