LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Art Museum of Greater Lafayette is installing a "Colossal Creation" around Lafayette and West Lafayette.

Six sculptures are to be installed in the coming weeks, two of those being installed today. One sculpture is located at Tapawingo Park and the other is outside of the Lafayette City Hall.

Designed by artist Robert Pulley, the sculptures can reach heights up to twelve feet.

The East Gallery of the museum will host many of Pulley's creations. An Art Crawl will take viewers through downtown Lafayette to tour several large sculptures within the community.

The artwork is made from clay. Pulley said he made the sculptures in his studio in Columbus, Indiana.

The project has taken around three months to complete.

"All of my work is kind of a flow of process and idea. They're not trying to present a particular thing," Pulley said.

Each sculpture will have a different shape and build. Pulley is leaving it up to the public on what they visualize each piece to be.

The public installation exhibit officially opens in May, and will remain in place until September.
