FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1998, THE CLEMSON AND SOUTH CAROLINA MEN WILL BE PART OF MARCH MADNESS IN THE SAME YEAR. AND FOR THE THIRD STRAIGHT YEAR, THE SOUTH CAROLINA WOMEN ARE THE NUMBER ONE OVERALL SEED FOR THE WOMEN’S BRACKET. THE GAMECOCKS MEN ARE A SIX SEED IN THE MIDWEST REGION OF THIS YEAR’S BRACKET. THEY’LL PLAY THEIR TOURNAMENT OPENER IN PITTSBURGH AGAINST 11 SEED OREGON. THAT GAME IS THURSDAY AT FOUR. IF THE GAMECOCKS WIN, THEY’LL PLAY THE WINNER OF CREIGHTON VERSUS AKRON IN A SECOND ROUND GAME IN PITTSBURGH ON SATURDAY. THE CLEMSON MEN ARE A SIX SEED AS WELL. The Clemson men's basketball team will play in this year's NCAA tournament, with the Tigers making their first tournament appearance since 2021.

(Clemson Athletics) - Clemson University men’s basketball earned an at-large bid into the 2024 NCAA Tournament as a No. 6 seed and will face the No. 11 seed New Mexico in Memphis, Tenn. on Friday in the first round.This marks the fourth time under Head Coach Brad Brownell that the Tigers have advanced to the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers will be making their 14th tournament appearance overall. All have taken place since 1980. Clemson enters the tournament with a 21-11 record, including an 11-9 mark in regular-season ACC games.PJ Hall (Spartanburg, S.C./Dorman) was named First Team All-ACC, while Ian Schieffelin (Loganville, Ga./Grayson) was named the ACC’s Most Improved Player. Schieffelin and Joseph Girard III (Glens Falls, N.Y./Glens Falls) earned All-ACC Honorable Mention.The Tigers are led in scoring by Hall with an 18.8 average.
