A new event is bringing food and accessibility together along with an exciting new drink. Blind Industries and Services of Maryland (BISM) is launching its new brail beer with a free event full of food and games. Director of Development and Communications for the BISM, Jessica Normington and Liz Moyer, their independence training and rehabilitation coordinator, joined us to talk about their new event and beer reveal.

"Friday by 5 p.m. on our social media we will be revealing the name of the beer," Normington said. "We wanted to educate the community about blindness."

The beer was made in conjunction with Checkerspot Brewing and each can is hand brailed. The event is Saturday, April 20 from noon to 4 p.m. at Checkerspot Brewing Co. in Baltimore.

"We want to bring awareness to blindness," Moyer said. "We're gonna have different accessibility games."
