Best of the best: Presenting Patriot Ledger/Enterprise 2023-24 Wrestling All-Scholastics
The South Shore saw its top-end wrestling talent come from both ends of the high school timeline this winter.
For one, Milton High senior Mason Pellegri put the finishing touches on becoming the all-time winningest wrestler in school history before he heads to Harvard in the fall. Then, about 30 miles south, a young Middleboro High squad won its first-ever league title behind the flair of its own newly minted record setter, sophomore Matt Patterson.
A flurry of league All-Stars and sectional/state finalists filled in the blanks throughout the area. A number of programs have multiple All-Scholastic representative on this year's list: Hingham, Scituate, Brockton, Bridgewater-Raynham, Carver, Weymouth, Middleboro, Canton, Whitman-Hanson, Quincy, Duxbury, Canton and Oliver Ames.
Let's get to know them. Here are our high school boys/girls wrestling All-Scholastics for the 2023-24 season.
