A CHANCE OF SHOWERS ACROSS THE NORTHWOODS

Scattered showers are moving through northeast Wisconsin this morning. Most of the rain has been tracking through the Northwoods. That’s courtesy of low pressure drifting into the northern Great Lakes. Additional sprinkles are also possible this afternoon. Otherwise, farther south, it’s probably going to be dry with party sunny skies.

After reaching the lower 60s yesterday, our Tuesday temperatures look a little cooler. Look for afternoon highs in the middle to upper 50s. That’s still a milder than normal for this time of year. You’ll also notice a breezy west wind developing. Afternoon wind gusts up to 25 mph are possible.

While it looks warmer than normal for most of the week ahead, our temperatures will be up and down through the weekend. Inland areas will rise into the upper 60s tomorrow, followed by cooler lower 50s on Thursday.

A stronger weathermaker passing to our southeast, will bring us rain on Thursday. The showers will likely linger into Friday morning. Up to half an inch of rain will be possible. As that storm system pulls away from us, northwest winds may gust as high as 40 mph.
