BINGHAMTON (WBNG) -- The Binghamton Police Department said a man who fell into the Susquehanna River on April 11 is in critical condition.

The man, who police identified as a 38-year-old Kirkwood resident, was sitting on a concrete wall along the river when he fell in the late morning. He fell into the area by Rock Bottom Dam, which sits just outside of the Park Diner on Conklin Avenue.

Emergency crews performed CPR on the victim once he was rescued from the water. He was taken to the hospital afterward.

Binghamton Police said anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact detectives at 607-772-7080.
