Inside Taylor Swift's Latest L.A. Outing That Didn't Include Travis Kelce

Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors

Taylor Swift hit the town sans Travis Kelce for a night out with friends.

Per photos shared by TMZ, Swift, 34, dined with pals at Barney's Beanery in West Hollywood on Thursday night, April 4. The singer, who sat at a booth surrounded by friends, appeared deep in conversation at the table.

Swift — whose relationship with Kelce, also 34, has been going strong since late summer 2023 — has made just as many headlines for her star-studded friendships as she has for her dating life.

While the pop superstar counts fellow A-listers like Selena Gomez, Blake Lively, Ed Sheeran and many more A-listers among her closest friends, she does the same with her high school bestie, Abigail Anderson, who has been to as many Swift 4th of July parties and award shows as the 14-time Grammy winner's date as stars with household names.

In February, Swift's circle of celeb pals made headlines while they cheered Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs on to victory in the Super Bowl. In a viral clip from the big game, Swift, Lively, Ice Spice, Keleigh Teller and more went wild in the VIP suite as the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22.

As Swift and Kelce's romance continues to grow, her circle is, too — meeting Kelce's Chiefs teammates throughout the NFL season and even joining his family for Easter Sunday, where she allegedly met Kelce's nieces for the first time. (Travis' brother, Jason Kelce, and sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, are parents of three young girls.)

"Ultimately, if Trav's happy, we're happy. We are always cheering on Uncle Trav," Kylie shared on Today earlier this week about Travis' romance with Swift. "It's such a treat to be able to do that on and off the field. It's been amazing."

Travis, for his part, has gushed over Swift throughout their romance. (The tight end revealed in July 2023 that he tried to meet her for the first time by giving her his phone number via a friendship bracelet he made for one of her Kansas City Eras Tour shows.)

"She's on a whole other stratosphere," Kelce told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this week. "She's the best at what she does for a reason. It's because she's so articulate and just very dialed into every single thing that she does. And that's the beauty of it."

In addition to her relationship with Kelce and time spent with friends, Swift — who is gearing up for the final leg of the Eras Tour — will drop her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Society, later this month.
