COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - The College Station Police Department on Monday night arrested a man who had more than 100 personal documents and items that did not belong to him, according to police reports.

Joe Anthony Almaraz, 52, of Bryan was detained in the 100 block of Luther Street after he was found to have a stolen moped.

Police say Almaraz had two bags filled with stolen possessions and documents that belonged to other people.

According to an arrest report, in total, there were 107 pieces of identifying information such as addresses, names, account numbers, case numbers, and routing numbers belonging to dozens of other people. Those items also included bank statements, checks, credit and debit cards, government-issued mail, and other miscellaneous unopened items of mail belonging to other people.

Specifically, police say there were 52 pieces of identifying information comprised of nine checks that contained names, addresses, routing numbers, account numbers and check numbers, along with 7 debit and credit cards belonging to someone else.

Officers also found Almaraz in possession of what appeared to be methamphetamine.

Almaraz was booked on multiple charges and remains in the Brazos County Detention Center.
