The Storm Team 11 Forecast: A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect through 10 p.m. this evening for Smyth, Wythe, Tazewell and Grayson counties in Virginia.

The region will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies tonight with a 30% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. A strong to severe thunderstorm is possible through the early evening mainly across Southwest Virginia. The main threats would be damaging wind and hail. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue at times overnight. The low will be 58 degrees.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy and warm with a 30% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. The high will be 82 degrees. Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Tuesday night with a low of 58 degrees.

Wednesday will be partly cloudy to cloudy with a 30% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. The high will be mild at 80 degrees. Partly cloudy skies are forecast for Wednesday night with a low of 60 degrees.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies are forecast for Thursday with a 30% chance of scattered showers. The high will be 77 degrees.

Scattered showers and possible thunderstorms are forecast for Thursday night and Friday with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday. The low Thursday night will be 52 with a high on Friday near 76 degrees. Friday night we will see scattered showers and thunderstorms with a low of 54 degrees. 

Saturday will see a 30% chance of showers, mainly in the morning. The high will be 70 degrees. Saturday night will be partly cloudy with a low of 47 degrees.

Sunday looks rainy with a 60% chance of showers through the day. The high will be noticeably colder with a high of 62 degrees.

Cooler weather continues into next Monday with a 20% chance of morning showers. The high will be 62 degrees.
