The Powerball jackpot for Monday’s lottery drawing has jumped to an estimated $63 million with a cash option of $29.5 million.
The winning numbers were: 7, 16, 41, 56 and 61. The Powerball drawn was 23, with a Power Play of 3X.
No one across the country hit Saturday’s $54 million jackpot. There were also no second-prize, $1 million tickets sold.
In New Jersey, no one won more than $100 with a single ticket.
Saturday’s winning numbers were: 7, 33, 40, 43 and 69. The Powerball drawn was 10, with a Power Play of 5X.
In addition, no one hit the secondary, $10 million Double Play drawing or won the $500,000 second prize. Those winning numbers were: 39, 55, 60, 65 and 69. The Double Play number drawn was: 26.
The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 to win a third prize of at least $50,000.
Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated $148 million with a cash option of $67.8 million.
