Goins named Middle School Athletic Director of the Year
Priest River Junior High School Athletic Director, Angie Goins, was recently named the Middle School Athletic Director of the Year by the Idaho Athletic Administrators Association. Goins, who has been in the position for three years, said one of the most rewarding aspects of her job is seeing how student-athletes grow over their middle school years before heading to high school. Goins said she also really enjoys hosting tournaments — this year, PRLJHS hosted the first ever all-girls middle school district wrestling tournament. Some other athletic achievements Goins and the schools’ coaches accomplished were the boys wrestling team winning the district championship and the Warrior football team going 7-1. Goins was nominated by other athletic directors for the award and said she is honored to work with a pool of great athletic directors throughout North Idaho.
