Next week Erie City Council will vote on a resolution that could lead to a neighborhood tour for their evening meetings this summer.

Next Wednesday evening, Erie City Council will vote on a resolution that would allow council to have their evening meetings at community centers this summer.

Councilman Chuck Nelson put the resolution on the agenda to increase public access.

He said the MLK Center, the Booker T. Washington Center, and the JFK Center would be potential locations.

“It’s so significant for the elected officials to be available and accessible to communities across our city. So, this, I think, is one of the better opportunities we’ve able to explore to do this,” Nelson said.

City council will vote on this resolution on Wednesday, April 17.
