This reversal comes after Trump has consistently criticized Obamacare as “not good healthcare,” vowing to replace it with an alternative program. However, specifics on how he would actually enhance the ACA remain scant. During his presidency, Trump’s administration did enact several changes to the health care law that critics argue undermined its effectiveness, including shortening the enrollment period and promoting alternative policies with fewer protections.
